Steph is an up-cycler and thrifty decorator by nature, transforming others' discarded items and materials into unique home decor items. In her home workshop, she and her son began creating everything from shelving, furniture, charcuterie boards and home accents, from salvaged building materials and household items. Wanting to open a shop to showcase their work Artisan Collective was born and is a purveyor of curated home decor products created by over 30 local artists and artisans, 75% of whom are women. Buying and supporting local builds community, and has become increasingly important in our current environment. By shopping with us, you leave with a treasure that has a story!
At Artisan Collective you will find local home decor in the form of reclaimed and vintage furniture, lighting, art, glass, wood, ceramics, soft goods, candles and so much more!
If you don't find exactly what you want, Steph or some of the other artisans can create a custom piece for you!!
Oh, and we have a porch on which to perch with a coffee or a neighbours beer while you ponder your purchase!
Located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Lower Lonsdale in North Vancouver, BC, you can walk Lolo Lane with a donut from our neighbours, sit on our front porch to nibble, browse through our shop of diverse, unique and functional local home decor offerings, then leave your purchase with us for wrapping while you pop next door for a beer with our other neighbour. How else would you want to spend your day?
From East 1st or Esplanade, walk up or down the mid-block stairs and head towards Lonsdale, we are between Cream Pony and Streetcar Brewing.
Dali Shaw is a BC born printmaker. He works in silviculture and spends his springs and summers helping reforest BC forests. He is a self taught printmaker. The process starts with his tree planting job as part of the company his Dad started in the 80's. He spends months driving to and walking through countless cut blocks. During the summer he slowly collects interesting stumps. On his days off he preps the stumps for the printing process, all done in his parent garage until 2023 when the property and company were ravaged by the wild fire in Kelowna. The stump is inked and the paper is then positioned on the stump and burnished with a wood spoon by hand. Once the edition is done, no more are ever made. A unique and natural fingerprint of nature that showcases a period of our history.
